Love this restaurant. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in South Dublin. We've eaten there twice and on both occasions the food was authentic, very good and reasonably priced. Atmosphere and service is warm and friendly also. Will definitely return.

I'm not a regular at Toscana but have been on a number of occasions with various friends over past years. Last Saturday I went with my four sisters for one of our "official" twice yearly night's out when we make a special effort to all be in Ireland for the same weekend. They were absolutely delighted with my choice of location. I had called in three weeks earlier to make a special request for the window table upstairs and on a crisp and clear April evening it was just perfect for exchanging memories and news.
The service was excellent and friendly. The food was delicious with four being particularly tasty - we were told by one of the sisters that she would be returning if only for the crab claws starter, they were so good. The calamari was exceptionally tender and the chicken wings disappeared very quickly. The only (very slight) disappointment was the small quantity of the Caprese salad.
The main courses chosen were trout, sea bass, penne entrecote and linguine with chicken and prawns. They were all just as we would have hoped and we were so satisfied that only three of could manage a coffee.
We will all most definitely be returning.

Excellent place to spend an evening. The dishes were beautifully cooked and presented. We each had three courses and went home feeling very satisfied - not stuffed as is the case some times. We will go back again very soon. Friendly staff and handy location.

Myself and my friend dined here on an early bird menu.Great value @18.95 for a three course. My friend had the minestrone soup served with brown bread.I had prawns fried in breadcrumb served with a leafy salad. We both had breast of chicken done in a lime sauce served with leafy salad and we had a portion of chips to share. We both had tirmisu for dessert. The food was first class, service excellent and the staff very friendly.I only gave it two and a half stars for atmosphere as there was only one other couple in the restaurant. It was 5pm on a friday evening. However when we were leaving at 6.15 people began to arrive.I hope they did well that night as it is a gorgeous restaurant.Highly recommend.

Having visited Toscana in City centre many years ago and loving it we decided to give this place a go. The restuarant is situated right across from the sea with parking straight in front of it. The restaurant is lovely but I did find myself cold as the front doors were left open, It was a fairly calm evening but still the cold was coming in and we were seated at the back downstairs. First as it was a birthday dinner we thought we'd try the fanciest options. I went for Prawns specially because it was low fat and my husband had the crabs claws. My prawns tasted low fat, very boring, very little flavor and about 5 fairly small prawns which for a 10euro starter was poor in my opinion. My husband had crab claws which neither of us usually order so its hard to say if they were good or bad but again not much flavor and certainly wouldn't want to have them again at a price of 13euro. My low score for value is mostly down to the expensive starters we ate which we both shared and neither of which tasted great. I had a shellfish linguine for mains, it was ok, tasted better than the starter but that wasn't hard, found the calamari chewy but I finished my dinner because I was ravenous at the stage. My husband had Pollo alla Toscana , chichen in a cheese sauce and he said it was lovely. We shared a dessert of blackberry and apple crumble which was quite small even for one and the crumble was more mushy than crisp. Overall the food was quite edible but I have been to better value and tastier Italians. The reason the star value is high is because the staff were very helpful, the service was excellent although a bit too quick but I cant mark it down for that. It wasn't awful but not for us and I would not be returning, may however try Toscana in town again. Shame cause such a nice location.

We were looking for a nice Italian and found this on MenuPages and I am so glad we did! Our meal was just delish. I had the jumbo prawn and a salad they were mouth watering and cooked to perfection. My dinner date had the gluten free pasta with chicken. Its great that they cater for celiacs so we will be back! The atmosphere was great we felt like we were on holidays. If you have not tried this place its a MUST!
