Visited here for lunch, I dont know why. I do however know that I wont be back in a hurry. Ordered a soup and sandwhich and got the soup. Ten minutes later the spoon and the sandwhich arrived and the soup was cold. Now I can't fault the soup but I can fault the sandwhich and the service, not to mention the price. My friend was horrified at the state of, size and price of his order (a limp caujan chicken sandwhich which cost allmost 14 euro) which he barely touched and duely complained about. He still had to pay the bill. We left the place hungry, stung and annoyed. Is this a joke? Do people realy believe that they can charge what they want and provide simple bar food at gourmet restaurant prices? No wonder we were the only diners in sight.

Had the cajun salmon (Overcooked) there recently alongside a salad so miserable it was an affront to charge approximately 14 euros for it. The chicken wrap was loaded with a mayonnaise sauce no doubt loaded with carbs. Not impressed overall so wont be going back again.

I met my friend for lunch here and we very nearly did not have time to eat it as it took 45 minutes for a 2 burgers to arrive.

I live quite near the Mullingar House but had never been to the restaurant until last week. I already knew that the pub was a lively enough venue at the week ends, but was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. It was Friday night so busy enough but the service was great and we really enjoyed the meal too. Prices were reasonable enough, not cheap but not expensive either. We had Steak which was delicious and a nice bottle of red wine, we took our time ordering desert and were not rushed at all. The best thing was being able to walk home afterwards.........will be coming back over the Christmas break for sure.

We came here last week for a few drinks and a bite to eat. It was quiet when we went in but wow did it get busy later on. Food was excellent and the service very friendly. We had steaks all four of us and they were great. Good value too. Good atmosphere in the bar that night so we stayed til closing.

I recently ate in the restaurant as we have just moved to the area and we found it fab. It's steak house style and really reasonably priced. My friend told me they are doing a mid week special but I'm not sure of the price. She did say it was great. We'll try that next. What a bonus finding a treasure on your door step. Makes a house move a bit more tolerable.
