Had a fabulous meal there last nite. There were 13 in our group and not one complaint from anyone. Service and staff were great. Would definitely go there again.

We tried The Elm Leaf for a main course on Friday and were impressed. It's greatly improved from my previous experiences there (la banca) now it's under new management. Food was very tasty. Service was good- owner checked in with us and was lovely. Nice spot when going for dinner locally. We'll be back.

Attracted by early bird Sunday a/noon €20 for 2 courses. Can't go too wrong with a caesar salad but otherwise the food wasn't brilliant. The chips tasted of old oil and weren't eaten. Service was excellent, served by a young waitress who was very attentive. Generally lacked atmosphere and skirtings needed a good clean. Wouldn't revisit.

A great night tonight. A lovely night out with the family. Even though we arrived without a booking, the staff at The Elm Leaf couldn't have been nicer. Great food - my beef was fantastic, and I would come back for the desserts alone. Under new management, and well worth checking it out.

we decided to get to this new restaurant before Valentines night madness and loved the food as I am a vegetarian and can be very fussy.the service was excellent also and I love to complain if things are not to my standard - after all I am paying for it.But staff were very professional and happy in their jobs.Take a bow guys for a job well done.I will come back as its quite close to my home.

Called to this restaurant at 6.30pm on Saturday not having made a reservation. Got a table for 4 and had the early bird menu for €20. Food was delicious and there was a great buzz about the place. Will definitely be back.

Have eaten twice now in this new restaurant in Lucan, The Elm Leaf. It is simply excellent. The menu had great variety and quality of food was second to none. On both occasions I thought that the food was outstanding. The prices were extremely reasonable and I know reasonable as I eat out a lot. All of this in a very friendly atmosphere where I was constantly checked on to see if I needed anything else. The waitress who served me had a great smile and really lit the place up. I will certainly go back.

Whilst in Lucan Village on a damp cold Monday lunchtime, the front of this trendy two storey eatery stood called out to me. A warm welcome and a I was guided to a window seat in a tastefully decorated dining room. The service was brisk and efficient. The menu was attractive with a good selection of reasonably priced dishes. I went with the Lunch special for €10. Delicious Mushroom and Tarragon soup with a tasty Caesar wrap and coffee. The place was busy and that was no surprise. Well recommended.

This restaurant is a relaunch of a previous restaurant which I always found to be lacking mainly in service. Excited to see a new restaurant in its place & went along for dinner. The food was ok - too many shortcuts eg pre fried reheated chicken for the warm salad, tiramisu put together in its glass with stale sponge etc. But the service was spectacularly bad. We were left waiting 30 mins between courses & when I got up to look for staff (we were upstairs) none to be found. Our waiter barely grunted at us & we could not catch the eye of any other staff in case they had to do something. When I complained to one of the owner/managers on the way out I got little more than a shrug and a face. Incredible lack of professionalism. Never again. Food was passable but the chef is let down by (huge lack of) front of house.
