The lunch cavery is great! they offer turkey and ham everyday and have more selcetion that change everyday. My favourite is their chicken curry, chips and rice. The food is always hot and fresh and great value. Definately my new favourite place to go for lunch.

Spent the day (literally!) here last Friday. Had a delicious chicken curry with rice and chips from the lunchtime carvery menu for a tenner. Settled in with pals for the afternoon & the barman was friendly & set up the TV so we could follow the horse racing. We were planning on moving into town but the after work crowd came in & the atmosphere & music was good. They also have an evening meal deal with dishes plus drink for a tenner. I had a chicken kebab and it was really excellent - only a tenner with a pint! The other lads had beef stir fry and steak ciabatta and were impressed too. Must say I was really impressed with both the food & the vibe. Really nice food & good value & decent vibe. Must call in again sometime.
Was there to watch the rugby...Nice pints and atmosphere

Best value pub in town as far as I'm concerned. A pint and a dinner for a tenner! Good music, lovely surroundings. Why is this place not full to the rafters. And free wifi if you're in on a quiet night and want to make use of it.

This will definitely be a regular after work stop-off from now on.
I've been to lunch here a few times. The service isnt great but the food is tasty for pub grub and it's good value.
This pub definitely serves the best carvery around.

There are usually 3 roasts and 3 other dishes to choose from every day. The vegetables are always good quality and not the usual bought in carrots and turnips cooked to within an inch of their life.
The soup is always homemade and very tasty and there's also a good choice of sandwichs - both hot and cold.
Definitely somewhere to consider for lunch if you're in the area.
I have been here for dinner and a few pints many time. Simple pub grub. Reasonable value, fantastic pub-style friendly service, and grand food. As with all pub food, lots of it it freezer-friendly stuff but the pizzas are particularly nice.
