Myself and my girlfriend went here one Sunday. Early bird for around €20. Basic oriental food but good value for what we got. Prawn starters were nothing you wouldn't be able to make at home but perfectly acceptable. Served with sweet chilli sauce. Chicken & beef for mains. Again nothing revolutionary but tasty enough. Quite a kitsch feel to the restaurant. Lot of trinkets and other oriental items in the restaurant. Service was pleasant & attentive without being claustrophobic. Will do ok based on location but would struggle if based in city centre.

The staff are not very friendly and the prices are so inflated - especially for anything vegetarian. We have been going there for years but after eating there last week and paying 70 euro excluding service for 2 vegetarian courses for 2 people with no drinks, we will not be returning. A classic case of rip off republic...

We were the only two people in the restaurant on this Wednesday night. We had the set meal and ordered the combo platter starter, which consisted of frozen spring rolls and fish cakes that smelled of citrus fairy liquid. Our mains were Thai green curry, skewered chicken and some beef stir-fry or other. The green curry was served in a wooden barrel and was a gloupy tasteless concoction. The beef stir-fry consisted of three pieces of beef in a glucose sauce decorated with red peppers. As for the skewered chicken, the skewers were meatier than the chicken. Our complaint fell on deaf ears of the three staff reading magazines. Don't waste time or money in Scenes!

I really enjoyed the food in this restaurant, it was such a pity about the coffee after the meal - it was instant and awful!
