Poor service. One of the owners was highly rude, and extremely unfriendly to my new baby. (Who was very quiet and well behaved.) Won't be going back and will discourage friends from going there.

This was my second visit at lunch time with a Taste.ie voucher. The food was excellent, really good portions and really nice.

I visited at lunch time with a Taste.ie voucher. The food was excellent and great value. I would definitely visit again.
We were a little late for our booking as we said we might be on the phone when we booked, we were told that was fine but when we arrived chastised for it. We weren't allowed to order a desert because we'd been there for an hour an half (we were a party of 8). The bill was waved at us "who is taking this?" And practically pushed out the door. Food was ok, quite enjoyed it but the atmosphere of the evening in the restaurant wasn't good. Won't be recommending and next time we'll go back to our regular restaurant instead where they appreciate our business.

You must visit this beautiful restaurant .For Italian food its fab
Quality service and even better Italian food. Reasonably priced menu in a quite secluded setting away from the hassle and bustle of Dublin City centre. Attentive and welcoming staff. Easy booking. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable regarding allergies. We were given a lovely corner table by a heater (it was a cold evening) and the staff took our coats. We both loved the sharing board for 2 which was mouth wateringly good. I ordered anLinguine with prawns & mussels in chilli which was delicious. My husband ordered a the fillet steak with cracked black pepper sauce which came exactly as specified. For desert we had Bailey’s & chocolate mousse with pistachio cream& thenLemon bake with biscotti & passionfruit sorbet. The staff recommended a house wine which was delicious. Thanks so much for such a lovely treat. We'll be repeat customers.n

Deciding where my hubbie and I should go for our double birthday celebration was a no brainer, it had to be Il Posto. I had sent my daughter Sarah in before Christmas with her boyfriend as I told her it was the most romantic restaurant to go to. She had a wonderful night and could not get over how well the staff treated her and facilitated her. She was literally blown away by the ambience, service and food. An extra bonus was that Il Posto were giving a 20 euro voucher to their gold staff clients for use in January. I had rung in and paid for her wine that night so I happily procured the voucher!!. Going back to Il Posto is like going to a wealthy friend's house and being cossoted in a wonderful dining room. This place always makes me feel that way. When we arrived, Ester was there to greet us. I think its always a very good sign when staff stay in a place for a few years as you know they are being treated very well. We ordered bruschetta for starters which was deliciously crispy and wonderfully garnished. Our main course was rigatoni with mushrooms in a tomato sauce, absolutely devine. As usual, as we are vegan, the staff were so accommodating and we were offered different variants from the menu. We had a bottle of house red and past a wonderful afternoon in this amazing restaurant. This is a full amazing dining experience from start to finished and we berated ourselves for leaving it so long to go back to our favourite ever restaurant. We shall be going back again very soon. 18 e for 2 course lunch in a very exclusive but very friendly atmosphere. Il Posto always blends formality excellently with friendliness and fabulous service and eye for detail. Still the best place in town. I challenge any other restaurant to beat it. I will be waiting.
Very pleasant graduation lunch with my family - food was delicious - two family members had gluten free meals - both coeliacs and said their pasta dishes were the best they had tasted in a long time - they will be back!

Stumbled upon this place whilst looking for somewhere to eat in the area. Having viewed the menu outside & already picked what we wanted from it, we walked in & despite how busy it was managed to get a table. Beautiful ambiance/atmosphere. Staff very well presented & pleasant. Received menus and was disappointed to see that they are slightly different to that advertised on the front of the restaurant so couldn't actually have what I had originally picked & gone in for. Maybe they would have made my request but I don't like to make a fuss so picked something else off menu. You can tell it is all freshly made as there is a bit of a wait in between courses but I like that we weren't rushed and wait wasn't an issue due to the lovely atmosphere. Food was absolutely delicious and could not fault it. Will return again but is a little pricey for a walk in dinner and is more a special occasion kind of place. All in all, highly recommend.
